Opinion Before Listening:
I’ve never heard of TEC before but looking at this track list I’m impressed he has someone like Curren$y on his album and has me very excited for what TEC has to offer if he’s working with such talented artists! I usually dive into the artists top 5-10 on Spotify before getting into the album and yet again I’m impressed he has a track with Money Man and secured a huge feature just over a week after Money Man blew up off the track “24” so that’s huge!
At some points in songs TEC sounded like someone I’ve heard before but couldn’t put my finger on it! After listening more I finally figured it out for myself! I feel a mix of NLE Choppa and some NBA Youngboy influence in there! I’m excited to see how he’s grown into his sound after this many years as many of his top 10 tracks on Spotify are 2017-2020. I’m hoping to be quite impressed if hes continued working on growing as an artist! For any of the TEC die hard fans who care my top 3 tracks from his Top 10 on his Spotify Profile; Thru The Storm, Plot Twist, and Marley Vibez! Now lets get into this album!

Top 5 Tracks Strictly Based On The Performance:
(trying to analyze bars, singing, and energy put into the music alongside the beat.)
#1 Flashin OuT II: “Selling dead opp T-shirts I’m a autograph it” Craziest intro to a track I may have heard doing these reviews and he kept that energy throughout the whole track! TEC was talking his shit the whole track, delivering bar after bar with pure confidence. Then the beat was so contagious it had my head nodding before I even realized it. This one hits different. This is the type of song you play while working out or just trying to feel invincible. TEC’s confidence on this track is so potent it’s contagious! I need more of this from him!
#2 Raq Activity: This track is similar to the first with his energy and confidence absolutely carrying the track. It seems like he’s in a whole different mode when he’s on a beat that doesn’t let him get very melodic with it. When he’s in this mode he reminds me of NBA Youngboy heavily and I love it. TEC’s distinct voice sets him apart, keeping his sound authentic while still carrying that influence! Not a copy, always his own. “I don’t battle rap bitch I’m trying to smack one of them, step with a passion no plans of going back to the pen, I got packs coming in that’s that thrax shit” TEC is for real about this life and doesn’t just rap his lyrics for the clout he’s really living his raps and has done 3 years in jail total for multiple charges; a murder charge, trapping xans while on house arrest. Now he knows he never trying to go back so he’s gotta be smart on how he’s moving now. Thankfully he got bonded out by MasterP for his $300,000 bond so he had much less time in the pen than he would’ve. Definitely check out his DJVlad interview if you’re interested in knowing more about that!
#3 Tomorrow: I absolutely adore the overall message in this track. TEC is using his influence and his own experiences of him following his music dreams that everyday is a new day filled with new opportunities. TEC has had the highs and the lows and knows the way to success is to keep grinding through it all! You can never get too comfortable in success like TEC said, “Soon as my life look like paradise, that’s when disaster call, thought I was done fighting my demons somehow I made it back to y’all, trying to keep my head above water back where I started. Think you winning the fight then Life hit you the hardest.” On the flip side of that coin you can never get too down on yourself for failure. Because “Hard times don’t last, real ones do” This line hit extremely hard for me as personally I have been going through the hardest few months of my life but I know that pushing through stress and overload will shape me into a stronger, more capable version of myself. The hard times aren’t setbacks it’s leveling us up to handle even more in the future. Mindset is everything!

#4 Thug Letter: “I sent a thug letter to the clouds, know we got some catching to do you know it been a while. Still holding shit together I hope I never let you down been stepping in the name of you I’m moving better now.” A beautiful track where TEC is reminiscing about his old homies he had on his way to where he’s made it to today and where he’ll continue to drive for this dream. “Been through it all and it was worth it baby, I’m still chasing this dream never let em forget you n__ that’s on everything” The end of that quote is so powerful and represents how much respect TEC has for these people. You can explain the impact they had a memories they’re apart of to keep them alive forever! I also loved how he mentioned he’s moving better know as he’s seemingly away from the violence and becoming quite successful with the spider branding he’s building for himself! He’s launched a clothing brand with it as well and when trying to google it I come to find 4 years ago there was beef with TEC and Young Thug since TEC already had his brand running but Young Thug started Spiderworldwide. There’s not much of an explanation of what exactly went down but it wasn’t a pleasant exchange in the DMs by TEC and Young Thug which led to a lost possible collab. Extremely unfortunate for TEC but with this new music sounded as great as it does I’m sure he’ll be attracting many new fans for his own brand just fine!
#5 Stars In Da Night: “My personality gonna make me rich or get me killed” Just from a few interviews and stories I’ve watched during my process of this album review I can tell you this is 100% true! Has extreme self confidence and is not afraid to tell anyone exactly what he is thinking even if they’ll hate it. I think these attributes may have also caused the fallout with him and Young Thug’s possible Spider Clothing Brand collab but you tell me what you think from this clip here.
Overall Rating of the Album: 7.4/10

After this album, I can confidently say I like when TEC is more aggressive on the track and giving us that raw energy like on Flashing OuT II than when he’s on his melodic flow. But honestly his melodic flow can be incredible and I think has tons of potential but he definitely has to find the right beats. I found the beats on Bombs Away and Hood Spider-Man were too busy where it took away from his melodic capabilities hence the low ratings. I believe TEC still has potential to unlock within himself and his full kit as an artist and I’m excited for him to keep working his way there! He sounds hungry based off the tone of this album and I wouldn’t doubt if he may release another within the year!
