WHo IS TwoTiime?
TwoTiime is a 20 year old independent Canadian artist from Ottawa’s notorious west-side neighbourhood, Ritchie street. He’s has two singles featured on WorldStarHipHop’s Youtube titled “Did A Lot” and “Juice” which are both nearly at 250K views! Make sure to check them out after the article! Twotiime has amassed an impressive 70,468 monthly listeners on Spotify with only 3 years in the game! This may not seem like a lot in comparison to the mainstream artists but this is an absolutely incredible number of listeners that a small percentage of artists get to achieve.
WHy Should I Know TwoTiime?
His most popular song is “Keep It Real,” combining his smooth and melodic vocals on an instrumental that complements his voice and what he’s portraying, I see how it became ear candy for his new and older fans to digest. Being released in 2020, it is a song that to this day continues to find itself in many of the playlists I use daily. My favourite thing about TwoTiime is he has his own sound. Yes you may argue and say he is a melodic artist and there’s a lot of artists out there similar to him. However, He’s not leeching off of styles that have been done, he’s creating something that is his own with his own stories and word play coming from where he lives and how he grew up.

TwoTiime first began his music with “Trippin” a collab with fellow Ottawa rapper Bibzie in January 2019. Honestly this is one of the best performances by TwoTiime on a track but it’s a shame it’s not available on streaming or TwoTiime’s official Youtube Account. This means the majority of his fans he actually gained since his breakout single “Hood Cry” would never know about this track unless they do some digging on their own!
His breakout single “Hood Cry” was a tribute to his fallen friend and fellow rapper FTG Metro. This is now his second most streamed song on Spotify surpassing 1.6 Million streams, aswell as 795K views on Youtube! Only second to his most commercially popular track “Keep It Real“. The funny thing about this to me is how “Hood Cry” made him known to a way larger audience for being a great song but also for having a powerful message for a fallen friend, then his next single “Keep It Real” amassed just as many streams and views but this track was very popularly used as background music for Fortnite clips/montages.

TwoTiime is in the midst of promoting his latest single “Find My Way” which dropped on May 20th. He got on Lindasson’s (a fellow rapper from Ottawa) track called “Eighties” which was originally released back in October of 2020 for a remix which they released together on April 15. April was super busy for TwoTiime as he released another single April 4th which is my personal favourite song of his called “Off Some“. The last time TwoTiime released was back in September 2021 with his single “Juice” so I think he may be planning something big in the near future putting out all of this quality so rapidly, he’s demanding our attention, we don’t know what for yet. I just know I’m excited! Are you?
