Opinion Before Listening:
Before reviewing this album I wanted to listen to YSN Fab’s discography to get an idea of who/what he is as an artist. This lets me see YSN Fab’s development over his freshly started career! What was obvious to me is how I took a liking to his tracks with a braggadocious or trap style tracks like Monopoly and Winter City. Fast paced tracks with the 808s hitting hard talking about how you can do it all alone just get me so motivated. He also has introspective tracks focusing on his come up in the streets, various challenges him and his people went through. Based on the subject matter in Made 4 More I’m assuming there’s a lot of introspective tracks about loved ones and painful experiences reinforcing his want for success. I hope he sprinkles a few braggadocious tracks throughout the album to spice it up because that’s when YSN Fab is at his best in my opinion!

Top 3 Tracks Strictly Based On The Performance:
(trying to analyze bars, singing, and energy put into the music aside from the beat.)
#1 Lifestyle Pt.1 – Starting off the track talking in depth about the battle his mother faced with addiction, quickly glazing over complimenting her for being so strong showing how proud she should be. Shortly after that, talking about the “Awful husband she picked.”; “Before you get aggressive, Take a moment and breath don’t roll up your sleeve just sit down let’s talk and keep a calm tone, you know you never treat me like this when mom’s home.” After having chills sent down my back from the pain you feel in his voice, I didn’t think it was gonna get deeper but the next lines really set the intensity of it all. “That’s why I’m always scared when we’re alone. This supposed to be a safe place but it feel like the the furthest thing, only thing I learn in this house is how to endure pain, and now I’m growing up thinking love is not a sure thing.” That must’ve been awful to grow up with an abusive father as he describes constantly degrading them to such a point. I think this is why YSN Fab tries to be such a positive influence with his music and overall impact as a creator. Both him and his brother had to go through the same abuse as children but unfortunately YSN Fab‘s brother is currently arrested. (According to what it sounds like in this track I couldn’t find anything online.) The ending also gets crazy heavy with how much YSN Fab has had to deal with in his life, his resilience will go on to inspire many. I won’t spoil more about this track than I already have, but it’s a must listen!
#2 Check The Stats – “Hundred racks, hundred racks up in my safe, I’ve been dreaming of pulling up in that wraith, check the stats, I ain’t got to much to say.” The start of the chorus comes in so strong every SINGLE time. This is exactly the type of track I was talking about at the start when I was saying he’s at his best. This specific bar hit hard because it reminded me of what we used to say in hockey to trash talkers. We’d be up by a few goals saying “check the scoreboard,” so for me YSN Fab is bragging about how much better he’s doing in life compared to his haters by telling them to check the stats! “Remember back when, shut the fuck up we was never close.” The mental challenges this must bring with it has gotta be insane, I know that if I got some fame or money I’d have so many “friends” hitting me up trying to reminisce their way into my bag.
#3 Made 4 More – “When you only got a couple hundred dollars buying Jordan’s don’t seem worth it so I keep on working.” I think it’s pretty simple what he’s saying but it’s powerful because people keep falling pray to society and ball out on expensive clothes or products to show their “status” when they easily could be scraping together money to pay their bills. With the rise of social media this continues to become more of a problem because people need a fit or thing that’ll get a wow factor to gain attention or followers. It’s all just highlights of people’s lives. “They was thinking this was all for clout told them you’re gonna see in a year now I’m here … You’re projecting all you’re own insecurities when you come are a year later and realize what I’ve done for the city, I don’t wanna hear no thank you cause it won’t be sincerely”
Overall Rating of the Album: 7.7/10
YSN Fab’s highlights are definitely his hooks/choruses they’re all powerful and memorable. I’m sure this is done purposefully but it’s a great way to get his songs stuck in peoples head’s! He showed he can really bring anything to the table from raps, melodies, and he has sad tracks, gym/hustling tracks, and introspective tracks he’s truly an impressive talent! Check out Made 4 More 2 and form your own opinion!

Those same people who were around you when you vocalize and attempt to follow your dreams will be doubting you and try to morph you into a pessimist who thinks negative thoughts just like the people who think the world isn’t meant for dreamers. Once you come back and they see you’ve been making you’re way they’re all gonna come back and say how they’ve believed in you from day one. Like the “friends” talked about in CHECK THE STATS, so many fake people come around with some fame you gotta just take the compliments and keep them at a distance.
