FTG Reggie and Rosalvo just dropped their new collab single “Wrong Way”. Lets see what its all about!

Breakdown of Key Aspects

Production: 7.8/10 → Coming in with a piano and almost choir like melody, the beat delves into almost a dark yet mysterious build up. Once the drop hits and all the drums tie together its clear to see they knew what they were doing. Between the bouncy drums and dark trap like melodies this beat goes crazy! Roughly half way through the beat switches up into a more layed back vibe, letting the drums become more prevalent and letting Rosalvo shine, making him come in that much harder! To wrap it up the beat all comes back together to finish it off with the hook, giving it a nice variety and uniqueness throughout.

Lyrics: 6.7/10 → When it comes to the lyrics FTG Reggie starts off with portraying almost a story as well as a plan of what he’s been through and what is to come. Meanwhile Rosalvo preaches about those who have been close to him have stabbed him in the back, while calling them out and showing he doesn’t need them to pursue his career. Together, FTG Reggie and Rosalvo express and show us their vision of what lies ahead in their career, while making it known that there is no obstacle that can get in their way!

Flow: 6.8/10 → I think the flows of the two was one of the highlights of the song for me. Although the flow of verses were a little bit generic, the flow of the hook was well spaced out and caught my attention. The hook expressed more of an emotional stance leading me to be more pulled in every time it played. While Rosalvo came in with a more calm style which matched the bridge of the beat very well, I think both artists could have put more creativity when it came to the flow switches. Overall I think both artists portrayed themselves in their own way giving the song a nice balance.

Replay Value: 7.3/10 → While the verses themselves didn’t stand out too much, I think the hook and beat is what really brought the song together. The hook being very catchy helped it standout throughout the song and made it very easy to vibe along to. Lastly the overall production was done very well, between the beat cuts and switches, it provided the song with a lot of energy never giving it a dull moment.

Final Thoughts

For my final thoughts, this song boasts a dynamic and engaging production that masterfully blends dark, mysterious elements with bouncy, trap-influenced beats. The beat switches effectively, creating a unique and varied listening experience that complements the artists’ performances. While the lyrical content and flow are somewhat tame in the verses, the catchy hook elevates the song, making it highly replayable. The artists successfully convey their vision and determination, though there’s room for more more improvement, it is still a very solid record. Overall, the song’s strengths lie in its production and memorable hook, which compensate for the less distinctive areas. The combination of the artists’ styles creates a balanced listening experience, leaving a positive lasting impression.

Overall Rating: 7.2/10

With a hard dark trap beat and some memorable melodic performances, this is a must listen for those who love catchy hard hitting trap.
